Mature work and mature thought put in it. The idea with music is excellent as the whole “behind the curtains” scenario becomes a part of the painting. Great work Sabina.

You present us an insightful Thought that provokes lots of thoughts, at least by me.
I have the whole little story about the inner child that has been my first association. And I think that art is here to provoke thoughts, to shake mind and heart, awake…
Your art is of that kind and that is why I love it and feel it as very personal, almost as a psychic reading.

Thanks Chiara. I like your comments.
The drawing is actually rather small, therefore not so detailed, but she does in fact have a face. Not a very distinct nor clearly recognizable face, but rather one of quite suffering.
I am planning to create a painting based on this drawing, so I hope to be able to bring out all the very important details to the point of unmistakable clarity.

Yes… if it were a hand instead of a person or a woman then it would most definitely be more universal, but the meaning of the painting would change as well. A hand showing above the water would mean that the person is already drowning and not merely in panic, and it would also mean that they, at that moment, since they are underwater, cannot possibly see all the help that is around, so it wouldn’t be a matter of perception anymore. It would rather be a conclusively dark event.

It’s somehow very spooky..but it speaks the truth, I guess that’s what I like about it..
I like it, that she is “faceless” in a matter of speaking..as if she had forgotten to develep her character
