"Creation enhances the beauty of life."
~ Sabina Nore
While this website showcases my various creative outlets, it is design, and more specifically web design, which has been my official profession for over 10 years.
I have created web sites, Flash animations, logo designs, brochures and posters, illustrations, mascots, Flash games, and other design items for clients all over the world. Each new client introduced me to their realm, which even if completely new to me at the beginning, would become remarkably familiar towards the end of the project.
This variety and diversity of people, cultures, types of businesses, and the challenge to each time create just the right thing for the particular need, or find the design style that perfectly represents the client is what has always made web design so appealing to me.
Painting is the most beautiful form of meditation I have come across. It is not only eerily relaxing, but also, at least in my case, a perfect breeding ground for contemplation, reflection, spiritual introspection... In the solitude of painting, I am able to connect with the essence of me, and with others, in a uniquely serene and quite beautiful way.
I used to destroy my artwork as passionately as I created it. I don't do that anymore. It was a simple decision of leaving the criticism up to others rather than eagerly condemning each of my creations.
When I received an award for an essay I wrote about my father, at the age of twelve, I didn't think much about it. A few years later however, when I was fifteen, I wrote my first two very significant poems, and this time the reactions undoubtedly impressed me. I suspect I was more ready to be impressed, as well as starving to be understood. This being understood, the need for others to see the real me, became the major motivation for my writings, for some time.
Now, I am primarily driven by two things. I like to play with words, so sometimes I do. And, I have things to say about a number of topics. I came to realize, one astonishing experience at a time, that a number of very straightforward and obvious things are either 'left around the corner and backwards' or simply confusing to others.
Photography has been one of my hobbies ever since I got my first camera, when I was 14 years old. Capturing the essence of a moment, or a specific light, or an emotion which seemed to reveal someone's spirit rather than their facade,... photography was a fascinating medium to explore.
Computers and photo-editing tools naturally led me to the creation of digital graphics, and my passion and curiosity in this area also benefited my work as a designer.
But then, after my initial enthusiasm with the digital world subdued, I returned to photography.
There are many ways to contribute to a better world. To be the best we can be, to be there for others when they need us, to inspire, to truly live,... Philanthropic endeavors are but one possibility, and they too can be fun! Plus, the feeling of doing something that inspires others, or knowing that you have brought a ray of beauty, regardless how small, into someone's existence - there is nothing quite like it.
Most of the times, even the regular work I do brings joy and happiness to others, and enables them to be more successful, or to reach more people. However, I have also devoted a large amount of my time to online projects that have no value or benefit, other than to bring beauty and light (in some form) to the global community.

Creating jewelry was an experiment which turned out to be somewhat similar to painting, in that it was relaxing, soothing and fun. I learned about gemstones and crystals, of their healing properties and individual beauty, and curious to harness their energy I created a vast number of jewelry, mostly necklaces with the occasional matching bracelet. Working with precious stones was especially exciting.
Being that I am an artist and a professional designer, when I, as such, created jewelry, the result was designer jewelry. Sweet!
Take a break and relax...
